Associate Mechanical Engineer

I'm working exclusively with a market leading MEP design firm in New York, and they are looking for an Associate to join their HVAC department. This is a senior, high-impact role where you'll lead project teams, act as the primary client contact, and work directly with firm leadership on business development and staff mentorship — all while delivering complex mechanical engineering projects from concept to completion. What the role involves: Leading HVAC projects end-to-end, from concept through to construction Acting as the primary day-to-day client contact on assigned projects Mentoring and developing junior engineers Presenting designs confidently to internal and external stakeholders Managing fit-out, renovation, and large-scale complex projects simultaneously What they're looking for: 8–14 years of mechanical/HVAC engineering experience Strong project management and leadership skills Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Solid understanding of codes, documentation phases (SD, DD, CD) and multi-trade coordination Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering What's on offer: Competitive salary + 401k employer match & stock options Hybrid working flexibility Structured training and professional development If you're an experienced HVAC engineer ready to step into a true leadership position at a firm with a world-class reputation, I'd love to have a conversation.
