Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)

Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our Dermatology team. We are looking for a dependable, compassionate, and clinically skilled Medical Assistant who enjoys working directly with patients and providers in a busy specialty setting. Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills are required for this position. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently while providing a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and chief complaints
• Assist providers with patient examinations and dermatology procedures
• Prepare examination and procedure rooms and maintain appropriate clinical supplies
• Assist with biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy, wound care, and other dermatologic procedures as directed by the provider
• Prepare and position patients for examinations and procedures
• Perform wound care and provide patients with post-procedure instructions
• Collect, label, and properly handle specimens for laboratory/pathology processing
• Take and document clinical photographs as needed
• Accurately document patient information in the EMR
• Communicate patient instructions and follow-up information as directed by the provider
• Schedule follow-up appointments and assist with coordinating patient care
• Communicate with patients in English and Spanish, both in person and by telephone
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment
• Monitor clinical supplies and notify management when supplies need to be reordered
• Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection-control, and company policies and procedures
• Provide professional, compassionate, and patient-centered care
• Perform other clinical and administrative duties as assigned

Requirements

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification required
• Bilingual English/Spanish required
• Previous medical assisting experience preferred
• Dermatology or specialty-office experience preferred
• Experience assisting with clinical procedures is a plus
• Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, dependable, and patient-focused
• Comfortable working onsite and directly with patients and providers
