This role will oversee the full spectrum of the operations manufacturing engineering continuum. This position is responsible for developing engineering talent, manufacturing processes to meet our operational requirements. This key plant staff leadership role will be the driving force for engineering excellence to achieve the long-term plant objectives and growth aspirations.Responsibilities:Improves quality and manufacturing process concepts for component and end product manufacturing.Supports development and maintenance of quality and process documentation including standard work generation and modification.Plan required resources each year, determine annual departmental budget and administer the budget during the year, including periodic forecasting.Recommend and justify requests for capital; analyze and evaluate production capacities.Implements capital equipment including evaluation, selection and run-offs.Set objectives and allocate resources for quality, productivity, and cost reduction improvement projects.Provide engineering support for special engineered products.Support production engineering needs (Ready to Serve).Report status of engineering projects as required.Maintain adherence to BOS, & TTPPM standards.Drive project speed and measurable results on schedule and budget.Support integration of New Products into existing processes.Maintain and improve PFMEA (Process FMEAs) to drive control plan development.Review engineering changes to existing products to determine effects on current manufacturing processes; update processes and documentation to support viable changes.Determine effects of process and product changes on tooling, CNC programming and other methods of manufacture.Assist internal and external suppliers with process and quality issues, determine root causes and formulate appropriate correction action.
