As a small, locally owned business, we don't operate through corporate red tape—we focus on delivering solid service, taking care of our customers, and keeping our yard and office running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage Daily Operations: Oversee sales, customer service, counter orders, yard and warehouse workflows, inventory receiving, and deliveries.
• Lead the Team: Hire, train, and manage a small, hard-working crew. Keep communication clear, expectations set, and morale high.
• Build Local Relationships: Work closely with local contractors and builders to ensure prompt, reliable service and repeat business.
• Inventory Management: Track stock levels, oversee cycle counts, process purchase orders, handle receiving, and minimize waste or missing inventory.
• Handle Basic Admin & Systems: Process customer estimates, invoicing, scheduling, and basic recordkeeping using our computer systems and software.
• Maintain the Facility: Keep the showroom, yard, and warehouse clean, organized, safe, and professional.
• Drive Business Growth: Keep an eye on margins, help control unnecessary expenses, grow our customer base, and assist in developing and implementing marketing strategies.

Qualifications Needed

• Hands-on Management Experience: Background running a city counter, yard, or small distribution operation.
• Industry Familiarity: Experience in building materials, stone, hardscapes, masonry, landscape supplies, or general construction materials is a major plus.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Able to make practical decisions on the fly, resolve customer issues, and handle busy seasonal peaks.
• Dependable & Organized: Comfortable juggling customer inquiries, supplier deliveries, and administrative tasks without losing track of details.
• Equipment Experience: Comfortable around yard equipment (like forklifts) or willing to be trained on site.

Work Environment & Schedule

• Environment: A mix of office desk work, customer-facing counter sales, and time outdoors in the storage yard and warehouse.
• Schedule: Full-time. Standard business operating hours with seasonal adjustments as needed.
