This Senior Manager role sits at the intersection of client delivery, operating model transformation, and strategic capability building, with responsibility for leading complex engagements across supply chain, manufacturing, quality, and procurement while also shaping the methodologies, reusable assets, talent networks, and go-to-market approaches that will accelerate practice growth. Work you'll do As a Senior Manager, Life Sciences Supply Chain & Operate, you will be responsible for: Leading end-to-end BPO and Operate engagements across supply chain planning, manufacturing operations, quality and compliance, and procurement for biopharmaceutical, medical device, and broader life sciences clientsServing as a trusted advisor and day-to-day delivery leader on multi-year Operate engagements, managing outcomes, service level agreements, and continuous improvement roadmaps while helping clients shift to value-linked, metrics-driven delivery modelsEmbedding artificial intelligence, automation, and analytics into BPO delivery through use cases such as intelligent document processing, test method harmonization, anomaly detection, agentic process automation, and AI-assisted decision supportDriving automation, digitization, and process standardization across client operations, including MES, Veeva, TrackWise, Kinaxis, and other life sciences technology environments, with an emphasis on integrating AI-enabled capabilitiesBuilding Deloitte’s Life Sciences BPO capability through offering development, reusable assets, talent pipeline development, pursuit support, and client-facing positioning that advances an intelligence-led operations model A successful candidate would possess these skills: Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a teamEffective written and verbal communication skillsMeticulous attention to detail and quality of work productAbility to build and sustain professional relationshipsAbility to lead projects or workstreamsAbility to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environmentStrong interpersonal skills and professional demeanorAbility to meet deadlinesAbility to mentor and provide clear guidance to others The team In an evolving customer and regulatory landscape, a mounting pipeline of next-generation assets, portfolio pressures, and intensifying competition are presenting new organizational and operational hurdles for Life Sciences companies. These complex market dynamics are requiring new levels of rigor and insight in business strategy development and problem-solving, both domestically and globally. We are looking for practitioners who will work alongside Life Sciences organizations, from biotechnology firms to global pharmaceutical companies to medical device companies, to drive business value through end-to-end delivery of solutions based on strategy development for critical business issues. This role sits within Enterprise Operations as a Service, Deloitte’s AI-enabled managed services business, which combines industry expertise, advanced technology, and continuous optimization to help clients modernize operations and sustain performance at scale. The team helps clients move from labor-arbitrage models toward intelligence-led operations and build enduring operational advantage. Qualifications Required: Bachelor’s degree10+ years of experience in life sciences consulting or life sciences industry operations, including 4+ years leading teams, programs, or client engagements3+ years of experience leading or managing business process outsourcing, managed services, or Operate engagements, including responsibility for one or more of the following: service level or key performance indicator (KPI) management, transition or mobilization activities, continuous improvement, or process optimization3+ years of experience supporting supply chain, manufacturing, quality, procurement, compliance, or regulated operations in a good practice (GxP) or current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) life sciences environmentExperience with one or more of the following: Manufacturing Execution System (MES) recipe authoring or modification, test method management, master data management, or product complaint triage and initial investigationAbility to travel 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serveMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future Preferred: Experience in a consulting firm or in an internal transformation role within a life sciences organizationExperience with MES, quality management systems, laboratory information management systems, enterprise resource planning systems, Veeva, TrackWise, or KinaxisExperience designing or deploying artificial intelligence, automation, or analytics use cases within life sciences operationsExperience developing proposals, responses to requests for proposal, scope documents, or client presentationsExperience leading global or multi-site programs for life sciences clients The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $163,400 to $322,100.
