Lovelace Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified Primary Care Physician to serve as Medical Director for our growing primary care practice in Roswell, New Mexico . This leadership opportunity combines direct patient care with medical directorship responsibilities, offering the ability to influence clinical quality, provider engagement, and patient outcomes while practicing in a collaborative, team-based environment. This role includes oversight and supervision of five Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and supports continued growth of the practice. 

Opportunity Highlights

• Join an established and growing primary care practice with 4 physicians, 5 nurse practitioners, and 2 physician assistants .
• Medical Director role with dedicated leadership responsibilities, including oversight of 5 APPs . 
• 36 patient-facing hours per week plus administrative time.
• Monday through Friday schedule with clinic hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM . 
• Expected patient volume of 18-22 patients per day .
• Dedicated medical directorship responsibilities include maintaining Rural Health Clinic accreditation, provider chart audits, clinical policy review, quality initiatives, compliance oversight, and other leadership duties.
• On-site ancillary services including laboratory and imaging support. 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient primary care services for patients across the lifespan.
• Supervise and mentor five Advanced Practice Providers while fostering a collaborative, patient-centered culture.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives and support regulatory compliance and Rural Health Clinic standards. 
• Participate in the development and review of clinical policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Promote clinical excellence, provider engagement, and exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Leadership experience in a primary care setting preferred.
• Interest in population health, chronic disease management, quality improvement, and team-based care.
