Heavy Equipment Operator

OperatorAsbell Excavating and Trucking, Inc. is currently seeking Operators with verifiable experience operating heavy equipment. The Operator must be versatile in their experience on equipment, including but not limited to excavators, loaders, backhoes, bulldozers, compactors, graders, and dump trucks. The Operator must be able to work extended hours and be willing to travel. A pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check is required of all successful candidates.Essential FunctionsFollow all instructions, rules and requests of the job Supervisor, Superintendent, Division Manager and others in the chain of command.Safeguard equipment including inspecting, cleaning and greasing as needed. Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure equipment is working properly.Take actions to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, or falling objects.Locate underground services, such as pipes or wires, prior to beginning work.Learn and follow safety regulations.Monitor operations to ensure that health and safety standards are met.Willing to work and have reliable transportation.Work well in a team, including but not limited to understanding and communicating information clearly.Record field notes as requested.Requirements and QualificationsProficient in finish grading operations for dirt and base.
