Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/26/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Title Travel RN – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Location Asheville, North Carolina Schedule / Job Type Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM Key Responsibilities - Provide direct patient care within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) setting, monitoring and managing patients with complex medical needs - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team - Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols - Document patient assessments, care provided, and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care team members to ensure continuity and quality of care - Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and escalate care as clinically appropriate Required Qualifications - Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in North Carolina or a compact state - Minimum of 2 years of recent RN experience, with PCU or step-down unit experience strongly required - Current BLS certification required; additional certifications (e.g., ACLS) may be required per unit standards - Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a fast-paced acute care environment - Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Preferred Experience / Skills - Prior travel nursing experience in a PCU or step-down setting - Familiarity with Labor and Delivery (L&D) clinical environments or cross-trained background - Experience working within a large regional referral or trauma center Why Join Us - Opportunity to work at a nationally recognized acute care facility that has earned top honors for clinical quality, patient safety, and nursing excellence - Gain experience in a high-acuity regional referral center offering a broad range of specialized services and a collaborative care environment Concentric Healthcare Staffing Job ID #756363.
