Key Responsibilities

• Maintain standards of nursing practice as defined by the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics, Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, and Nursing's Social Policy Statement
• Demonstrate core and unit-specific competencies based on the patient population served in the NICU
• Participate in performance improvement and research activities
• Maintain professional practice standards and clinical expertise
• Demonstrate leadership skills within the unit and broader nursing team

Required Qualifications

• Active New York State License as a Registered Professional Nurse with current registration or valid permit to practice
• Level III or higher NICU experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Infection Control training
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN degree preferred
• Specialty certification in NICU or related area preferred
