TEKsystems is partnering with a client in the Waukegan, IL area to hire a Direct Placement Senior Account Manager focused on growing and expanding strategic industrial accounts.

This is an outstanding opportunity for a relationship focused sales professional who excels at managing enterprise accounts, building executive level relationships, and driving revenue growth within the industrial sector.

 

What You'll Do

✅ Grow and deepen relationships with established industrial accounts

✅ Lead executive conversations, business reviews, and strategic account planning

✅ Drive revenue growth, account penetration, and new product adoption

✅ Own forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM driven sales planning

✅ Collaborate with internal teams to support customer success and demand planning

✅ Represent the organization at customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events

✅ Identify market opportunities and stay ahead of competitive trends

 

What We're Looking For

• Experience managing and growing industrial or distribution channel accounts

• Familiarity with organizations such as Grainger, Fastenal, Home Depot, HD Supply, or similar

• Strong account management and business development experience

• Executive presence with the ability to engage Senior stakeholders

• Experience selling tangible products in a B2B environment

• Strong CRM, forecasting, reporting, and data analysis skills

• Self motivated, proactive, and driven to exceed goals

 

Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $90,000 to $100,000 depending on experience

Uncapped Variable Compensation: On target earnings of $20,000 to $30,000 annually, with significant upside for overperformance

Monthly commission opportunities tied to new product sales growth

Company phone provided

Mileage reimbursement at $0.77 per mile

Company credit card provided

✈️ Employees keep all travel reward points earned during business travel

️ Per diem provided during travel

Additional Details

Location: Waukegan, IL Area

Hybrid schedule: Monday through Thursday onsite, Friday remote

✈️ Travel: Approximately 30% to 50%

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

* The base salary range is $90,000-$100,000, dependent on experience. * Variable compensation is an uncapped, on-target annual amount of $20,000-$30,000, scaling with overperformance. * Variable compensation includes an annual portion and a monthly commission based on new product sales exceeding previous year's figures for assigned products. * This role does not receive a company annual bonus. * Additional incentives include a company phone, mileage reimbursement at 77 cents per mile, company credit cards (with employees keeping travel points), and per diems.
