Marketplacer is a global SaaS company enabling businesses to create and scale online marketplaces. We partner with leading brands to power digital commerce, and we're entering an exciting phase of growth and evolution.

We're looking for a Solutions Engineer to join our APAC Sales team. We already have robust, deep-level technical architecture capabilities; what we need is a high-impact, commercially driven Pre-Sales expert who can engage clients, articulate business value, and help close enterprise deals.

In this role, you will be the key bridge between business strategy and technical capability. You will partner closely with our sales leaders to engage prospective enterprise clients, discover their core business goals, run compelling solution demonstrations, and clearly articulate how Marketplacer drives commercial ROI.

This role is ideal for a candidate who is technically savvy and experienced in e-commerce platforms or related SaaS technology, and whose passion and primary skill set lie in customer engagement, commercial influence, and technical pre-sales. You must also be willing to leverage AI as part of your role, whilst taking the opportunity to continue to build your capabilities in the AI space. You will be joining a team with a progressive, hands-on relationship with AI — both in how we work and in what we build for our customers.

Client Engagement & Sales Enablement

• Act as the lead technical dynamic in sales meetings.
• Run tailored product demonstrations
• Lead technical discovery sessions
• Articulate value propositions to both business executives and client technical teams.

Commercial Solution Design

• Craft well-scoped, value-driven technical proposals and solution concepts to match client goals with platform capabilities.
• Keep deal cycles moving swiftly and effectively.
• Partner with implementation and delivery teams to ensure clean handovers, ensuring solution feasibility without taking on low-level architecture work.

Collaboration & Communication

• Capture critical field insights and market feedback directly from clients and communicate them back to Product and Engineering teams to refine the roadmap and positioning.
• Work cooperatively with key ecosystem and technology partners to propose joint customer solutions and win business together.

What You Bring

• Proven track record in technical pre-sales or solutions engineering, with a strong focus on win-rate contribution, deal quality, and executive presence.
• 4-5 years experience or comparable experience
• Background in e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, or related SaaS technologies strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of APIs, headless architecture, integration patterns, and data flows, allowing you to converse comfortably with technical stakeholders without losing focus on commercial objectives.
• Exceptional ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear language for non-technical audiences.
• A willingness to use AI and build your AI capabilities
