Location: North Salt Lake, UT 84054
Pay Rate: Starting at $18.00 per hour
Shift: Day Shift (5:00 AM 3:30 PM)
Schedule: Monday Thursday (4 x 10-hour shifts)

Ascend Staffing is currently hiring an Experienced Precision Spot Welder for a leading manufacturing company in North Salt Lake, UT. If you have a strong background in precision TIG welding and are committed to producing high-quality work, we want to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform precision Spot welding on various metals, specifically 1820 gauge stainless steel

• Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, schematics, and job specifications

• Produce high-quality welds that meet customer and company standards

• Inspect and test welds to ensure quality and compliance

• Verify finished work meets blueprint tolerances and specifications

• Maintain welding equipment and a clean, safe work area

• Work closely with engineering and production teams to resolve welding-related issues

• Follow all safety procedures and company policies

• Document completed work and report defects or concerns as needed

Schedule

Swing Shift

• Monday Thursday

• 5:00 AM 3:30 PM (10-hour shift)

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of Precision Spot Welding experience

• Strong blueprint reading and interpretation skills

• Knowledge of welding equipment, materials, and safety procedures

• Ability to consistently produce precise, high-quality welds

• Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• High School Diploma or GED

• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

• Ability to pass a background check

• Authorized to work in the United States

• English proficiency required

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of a welding apprenticeship program

• AWS Welding Certification or other professional welding certifications
