BMS Project Manager

The BMS Project Manager is responsible for achieving the project's objectives. They work closely with the Commercial Manager, Program Manager, Site Technical Manager and Engineering Lead to define the project objectives, create a plan, and execute the plan to achieve those objectives. The Project Manager has a working knowledge of the technical and organizational environments in which the project deliverables are created and will be used. They may also assist in the strategic planning for the department and must have strong communication skills, exhibit leadership qualities, and be adaptable to a dynamic and geographically disbursed project environment. Key Responsibilities: Responsible for meeting the scope, schedule, and budget commitments reflected in the Project Management Plan. Lead the Project Team in developing and managing the Project Management Plan within the constraints established and approved by the Project Sponsor. Implement and enforce change control over project scope, schedule, resources, and budget. Collaborate with resource managers and/or organizational management to obtain adequate resources with appropriate skills to staff the project team. Manage resources by planning, scheduling, and forecasting manpower and resource requirements. Manage subcontractors to deliver high-quality deliverables and installation on schedule. Resolve issues, including the escalation of issues outside the project team's scope of responsibility. Proactively manage project risks & opportunities, ensuring corrective action plans reach closure. Coordinate and direct project closure to customer. Prepare and deliver final project closure and documentation to customers and ensure final payment. Maintain and manage project change order / Issue logs. Monitor the project and report status to leadership on a regular basis. Review and approve all team project submittals. Who will you report to? This position reports to the Senior Project Manager. What skills and capabilities will make you successful? Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical, or an equivalent engineering discipline; Master's degree desired. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business is also acceptable. Minimum of four years of experience in managing BMS, HVAC, Industrial Controls / Automation, or similar discipline projects. Experience with Microsoft Project (or similar); experience with Smartsheets is a plus. Previous work experience as a lead automation/controls engineer is desired. Previous experience in the commercial office and manufacturing market is desired. Knowledge of Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure BAS solution is desired. Must be able to travel 15%.
