Medical Director Veterinarian

Introduction
Our client is a well-established small animal veterinary hospital in Providence, Rhode Island, seeking a full-time Medical Director to help shape the future of its practice caring for cats and dogs.

Role Description and Responsibilities
As Medical Director, you'll influence medical standards, mentor fellow veterinary professionals, support the clinical team and help drive the hospital's continued success. You'll have the opportunity to lead in your own style while maintaining an active role in patient care. The hospital is looking for a veterinarian who believes great care goes beyond treating patients to earning trust, building connections and making a lasting impact on the people and pets they serve.

Practice Details
The hospital has state-of-the-art equipment and offers general wellness and medicine, blood and laboratory services, radiology, dentistry, surgery, anesthesia, pharmacy services and pet health certificates. Opening hours are Monday through Thursday from 8am to 6pm, Friday from 8am to 4pm, and the third Saturday of each month from 8am to 3pm. The practice is supported by a veterinarian-led organization that values each hospital's individual culture, identity and clinical autonomy.

Team
You'll join a compassionate, experienced team of five veterinarians and a large, supportive clinical support team. The hospital values high-quality medicine, collaboration and strong client relationships. An experienced and highly effective Practice Manager and Assistant Practice Manager help keep the hospital running smoothly, allowing you to focus on medicine, mentorship and leadership.

Candidate Requirements

• Must hold the relevant degree(s) and additional qualifications to work as a veterinarian in the United States of America (USA)
• Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain, a state license for the state they are applying to work in
• Must have the right to work in the United States of America (USA), or be able to obtain the required visa to do so
