Role Overview

We are seeking a senior Project Manager to manage a web application modernization program. This role involves leading a customer-facing web application development project, including a SaaS migration and platform replacement. The ideal candidate will have experience with external web applications, financial/SaaS applications, and a background in the healthcare or insurance industry. This position requires operating in a Waterfall environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive project schedule, providing weekly updates.
• Collaborate with various teams and vendors to gather deliverables, activities, and milestones.
• Compile and present weekly status reports and conduct status meetings.
• Identify, track, and manage project risks, issues, and decisions using a RAID log.
• Work collaboratively with workstream leads to drive action items to conclusion.
• Lead and mentor team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
• Manage change within the project, ensuring effective communication and smooth integration.

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems or a related field.

Experience:

• Proven experience as a Program or Project Manager leading customer-facing web application development projects.
• Experience managing a SaaS migration or platform replacement program.
• Experience in a Waterfall project environment.
• Understanding of System Development Life Cycles.

Technical Skills:

• Expert knowledge of MS-Project, Visio, and MS Office tools.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies and tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the health plan/payer side of the insurance industry, with knowledge of quoting, claims, enrollment, billing, or finance platforms.
• Experience with Finance, Finance Projects, and Finance (AP/AR/General Ledger) terminology.
• Familiarity with Health Plans organizations and processes.
• Familiarity with Application Programming Interfaces (API).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
