Analyst I Position at Patton State Hospital

Patton State Hospital, Human Resources is accepting applications for at least one (1) permanent, full-time appointment to the Analyst I classification in the Forensic Services Department. This position under the direction of the Supervisor I/II will share the responsibility of other Analyst's to assist in planning, organizing and managing the legal component of the committed population at DSH-Patton. The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties but not limited to:

• To have responsibility for the accuracy and timeliness of maximum commitment dates and progress report due dates for all hospital commitment types.
• Reason logically, creatively and utilize a variety of analytical techniques to track the assignments of Forensic Evaluators and processing of Forensic Reports.
• Ability to analyze and interpret court orders and recognize discrepancies.
• Assist in the implementation and maintenance of tracking databases for case management and monitoring of patients referred to other state hospital transfers.
• Able to make arithmetical computations to determine maximum commitment date applying applicable custody credits and enhancements according to Penal Code.
• Assist in coordinating patient involuntary medication hearings.
• Analyze and interpret forensic reports, court orders and subpoenas.
• Proficient in Excel, data entry, and compiling data into graphs for data analysis.

The successful applicant will possess strong analytical skills, tact, the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, the ability to prioritize a workload and meet deadlines and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrate the ability to formulate spreadsheets, navigate various databases, and Microsoft Office Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
