Job Description
Exciting Opportunity: Patient Care Technician / Staffing Float

Job Description:

- Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (07:00 - 19:30)
- Experience Required:
- 2 years of Patient Care Technician experience
- Acute Care experience
- Teaching hospital experience (preferred)
- Dialysis experience (preferred)

- First-Timers Accepted: Yes

- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- PCT (Patient Care Technician) certification
- Basic EKG Exam
- CPCT/A certification (preferred)

- Floating Requirements:
- Staffing Float/Staff Pool position
- Specific unit assignments will be based on facility needs

- Scheduling:
- No block schedule; agency must have open scheduling availability

- Time Off Restrictions:
- Auto-approval for 14 days or less of RTO
- Must work every other winter and summer holiday
- No RTO approved on hard-to-fill days (Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, etc.)

- Unit Information:
- Supports a long-term acute care environment
- Must assist with ambulation, feeding, turning/repositioning, linen changes, mouth care, and incontinence care

- Clinical Skills Required:
- Obtaining vital signs
- 12-lead EKG/ECG
- Finger sticks
- Intake/output measurements
- Sterile specimen collection
- Phlebotomy
- CPR
- Catheter care

- Equipment Experience Required:
- Tele experience

- Charting System:
- Cerner

- Scrub Color:
- Grey

- Additional Notes:
- Extremely strict time and attendance policies with zero tolerance for tardiness and unexcused absences
- Must attend all orientation days Tuesday-Friday during day shift
