Your Role and Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, recommending diagnostic tests, and creating customized care plans
• Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic health issues in conjunction with physicians or independently, as permitted by your credentials
• Providing education to patients and families on wellness, disease prevention, and optimal health management
• Prescribing medications and treatments within the legal scope of practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic condition management

Qualifications Needed

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Necessary Certifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
