Therapist - Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide specialized respiratory care to patients in an acute care hospital setting during night shifts. Ensure compliance with established protocols and collaborate with healthcare teams across multiple campus locations as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Administer mechanical ventilation and oxygen therapy according to physician orders and patient needs.
• Monitor patient responses to respiratory treatments and make necessary adjustments.
• Document all interventions accurately in the electronic medical record system.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement respiratory care plans.
• Maintain equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Adhere to safety guidelines, including radiation badge protocols and infection control procedures.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RRT license in South Carolina at the time of start.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy.
• Certified in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic electronic health record systems.
• Able to float between sister facilities to meet staffing needs.
• Willing to work 3x12 night shifts from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
