Tax Director

Develop and deliver proactive tax planning strategies for individuals and businesses.

Advise clients on complex tax matters, entity structuring, business transactions, succession planning, and other strategic initiatives.

Serve as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, business owners, and closely held companies.

Build strong relationships with clients and identify opportunities to provide additional value and services.

Oversee and review complex tax returns and engagements involving individuals, partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, trusts, and estates.

Research complex federal, state, and local tax issues and provide practical recommendations.

Stay current on changes in tax legislation and communicate relevant developments to clients and internal teams.

Support clients with IRS examinations, notices, and other tax authority matters.

Lead multiple client engagements while overseeing deadlines, staffing, budgets, profitability, and quality.

Mentor and develop Managers, Senior Accountants, and Staff.

Foster a collaborative, high-performing team environment focused on professional growth and technical excellence.

Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and retaining talented tax professionals.

Partner with firm leadership on operational improvements and strategic initiatives.

Help strengthen existing client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.

Participate in networking and business development activities.

Support the continued growth and expansion of the firm's tax practice.

Active CPA license required.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related discipline.

10+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.

Strong experience with complex tax planning, consulting, and compliance engagements.

Experience working with individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and closely held businesses.

Proven success managing client relationships and serving in a trusted advisor capacity.

Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and developing accounting and tax professionals.

Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

A relationship-focused mindset with an interest in helping grow client relationships and the practice.
