Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Job Summary:

The Telemetry Registered Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality patient care to individuals requiring cardiac monitoring and medical surgical services. This role involves managing complex patient needs within a fast-paced hospital environment, ensuring safety and compliance with clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

Assess patient conditions and monitor cardiac rhythms continuously using telemetry equipment.
Administer medications, including insulin and cardiac drips, following strict protocols.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Document patient care activities accurately within the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Respond swiftly to patient changes, codes, and rapid response alerts to ensure timely interventions.
Maintain compliance with hospital policies, including patient safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years of Medical Surgical Telemetry nursing experience required.
Prior travel nursing experience highly preferred.
Current RN license with all licenses on file at submission.
Valid AHA BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification required prior to start.
EPIC electronic health record experience within the past 2 years.
Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills.
