Wound Care Nurse

The Wound Nurse is responsible for providing primary skin care to residents under medical supervision, focusing on treating skin disorders. Key Duties Include Collaborating with nursing staff regarding residents' dermatologic conditions. Examining residents and their records to identify normal versus abnormal findings. Performing assessments using observation, inspection, and palpation techniques. Referring residents to physicians as needed and providing diagnostic services. Managing and treating skin issues such as ulcers, infections, and benign tumors. Assisting in resident rehabilitation, including mobility support and emotional care. Offering preventative health advice related to skin health and nutrition. Reporting resident status and care recommendations to physicians and management. Implementing skin care policies and communicating them to relevant parties. Qualifications Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with active licensure. Wound Care Certification preferred. Current CPR certification. Minimum of two years' nursing experience.
