Overview
Building Talent is partnering with a design-focused architecture firm seeking a Senior Marketing Manager to help bring structure, consistency, and clarity to a growing marketing function.

This is a highly visible, firmwide role that partners closely with leadership to strengthen how marketing operates across offices, spanning pursuit strategy, team leadership, and marketing systems. The role is both strategic and hands-on, supporting business development while helping shape longer-term marketing direction.

The Role
The Senior Marketing Manager serves as a senior leader within the marketing team, working closely with firm leadership to guide marketing efforts across multiple offices and initiatives.

This role is responsible for ensuring consistent, high-quality marketing output while strengthening internal structure, workflows, and collaboration. It plays a key role in aligning marketing with business development priorities and supporting firmwide growth.

Key areas of focus include:

• Building and refining marketing systems, templates, and workflows
• Supporting business development and pursuit strategy
• Strengthening coordination across offices and leadership teams
• Mentoring and developing marketing staff
• Supporting brand consistency and marketing communications

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing Leadership

• Manage, mentor, and support marketing staff across the team.
• Provide coaching and guidance to ensure consistency, quality, and accountability.
• Help foster a collaborative, communicative, and reliable team environment.

Business Development Support

• Partner with firm leadership to support business development efforts.
• Contribute to pursuit strategy and help align marketing with BD priorities.
• Oversee proposals, presentations, and interview materials.

Marketing Operations

• Develop and implement marketing systems, templates, and workflows.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of marketing collateral across offices.
• Support coordination between pursuit efforts and broader marketing initiatives.

Brand and Communications

• Partner with internal and external teams on templates, messaging, and tracking tools.
• Support website updates, content development, and communications.
• Maintain consistency in brand voice and positioning across materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
• 8-10+ years of marketing experience within architecture (preferred), engineering, or AEC professional services.
• Experience supporting pursuits and business development efforts.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring or managing marketing staff.
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality.

Additional Notes: This is an on-site role based in San Francisco. Candidates should be comfortable working across multiple offices and leadership styles. Experience directly within architecture or related AEC environments is required.
