Job Description

\n

The Maintenance, Reliability & Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the plant’s maintenance, reliability, and capital engineering functions. This role provides leadership and direction to ensure safe and efficient plant maintenance, while developing & executing the site’s capital improvement and turnaround strategy.

\n

The position combines day-to-day maintenance and reliability leadership with ownership of capital engineering, project execution, turnaround planning & execution, as well as ensuring that maintenance needs, reliability improvements, and capital investments are aligned with the overall needs of the facility.

Key Responsibilities

\n

Maintenance & Reliability

\n

\n
• Lead the plant’s maintenance and reliability strategy and execution
\n
• Develop and maintain a proactive, reliability-focused maintenance program
\n
• Establish priorities for preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance
\n
• Lead root-cause investigations and development of corrective actions for recurring equipment failures
\n
• Partner closely with Operations to identify & resolve equipment and reliability issues
\n
• Establish and track maintenance and reliability performance metrics
\n

Capital Engineering, Projects, & Turnarounds

\n

\n
• Lead the development and execution of the plant’s capital & turnaround programs
\n
• Identify, prioritize, justify, and develop capital projects based on safety, reliability, production, cost, and operational needs
\n
• Provide engineering oversight for capital projects from concept through completion
\n
• Manage turnaround & project scope, budget, schedule, contractors, & planning
\n

Leadership

\n

\n
• Lead and develop department personnel
\n
• Establish clear priorities, expectations, and accountability for the team
\n
• Develop departmental budgets and manage spending
\n
• Develop relationships with contractors, vendors, and engineering service providers
\n
• Promote a strong culture of ownership, planning, reliability, and accountability
\n

\n

Qualifications

\n

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, or related engineering field required
\n
• Significant experience in industrial maintenance, reliability, engineering, & capital project execution
\n
• Experience leading maintenance, reliability, or engineering teams in a process or manufacturing environment
\n
• Experience managing capital projects from concept through execution
\n
• Strong understanding of mechanical equipment, rotating equipment, piping, instrumentation, and industrial facilities
\n
• Experience with reliability improvement, root-cause analysis, preventive/predictive maintenance, and project management
\n
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
\n
• Experience in leading, planning, executing, and managing turnarounds, both short term unplanned outages and planned annual turnarounds preferred
