Position Summary The Walmart Store Manager leads and develops front‑line and supervisory teams, ensuring operational excellence, financial performance, and a culture of integrity and belonging. Responsibilities Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; tour stores and provide feedback. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of staff regarding store operations and technology initiatives. Implement company change efforts, provide clear expectations, and guide teams in business solutions. Model exceptional customer‑service standards, following the One Best Way (OBW) service model. Plan and execute community outreach programs, manage customer service initiatives, and resolve complaints. Drive financial performance by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Ensure effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes. Develop action plans to mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit goals. Supervise and mentor hourly associates; hire, train, assign duties, and recognize achievements. Maintain compliance with company policies, the Open Door Policy, and Walmart’s values of integrity, belonging, and service. Build high‑performing teams, promote diversity, and foster a culture where associates feel seen and supported. Apply data‑driven decision making, balance short‑ and long‑term priorities, and support continuous improvement. Qualifications Required: 2 years of college OR 1year retail experience + 1year supervisory OR 2years general work experience + 1year supervisory. For firearms facilities: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training (or state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility). Required to attend and complete all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door). Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership; 5+ direct reports with performance management experience. Compensation Annual salary range: $65,000 – $100,000. Performance bonuses (annual or quarterly) may be awarded. Additional compensation may include Regional Pay Zone, Complex Structure, and State Pay Differential.
