We are seeking a motivated and mission-driven Veteran to serve as an Employment Program Representative - Local Veterans Employment representative (EPR-LVER). In this dynamic role, you'll be a key member of our Business Services Team, building relationships with employers, conducting impactful employer outreach, and developing job opportunities that empower veterans across the America's job Center of California (AJCC) network. This position is located in Beaumont California and may require travel or be assigned to another office within the Cluster (Riverside, Hemet, Indio, Blythe).

Effective July 1, 2025, specific Bargaining Units and associated Excluded State employees are subject to a salary reduction between 2% - 4.62% in exchange for hours in the Personal Leave Program 2025 (PLP 2025) per month. Working Conditions

Customer Service in an office environment. Outreach to be conducted both virtually and in person throughout the cluster. Occasional and overnight travel will be required.

Must be adaptable, flexible, reason logically, comprehend written material, interpret and apply instructions.

• Have proficient computer & Video Conferencing skills (Microsoft Office, Zoom, Teams).
• Gain confidence of customers, employers, community members; and be sensitive to community groups. 
• Class C driver's license.
• Understanding of employer engagement strategies and business outreach practices.
• Knowledge of veteran advocacy principles and familiarity with challenges faced by Veterans transitioning to the civilian workforce.
• Knowledge of developing presentation materials and tailoring content for diverse audiences.
• Understanding of collaborative practices used when coordinating with external partners and community organizations.

Statement of Qualifications Requirements

A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is Required. The SOQ serves as documentation of each candidate’s ability to present information clearly and concisely in writing. The primary responsibility of a Local Veterans' Employment Representative (LVER) is to engage with employers, employer associations, and business groups to promote and advocate for the hiring of veterans. In your SOQ, please respond to the following prompts, using specific examples where applicable:

1. Describe your background, experience, knowledge, and/or training as it relates to the LVER role, including your understanding of employer engagement and veteran advocacy.
2. Provide an example of a time you developed presentation materials. What strategies did you use to make the content engaging, and how did you assess your audience’s understanding of the information presented?
3. Describe your experience collaborating and coordinating with external partners or organizations. Highlight your approach to building relationships and achieving shared goals.`
