Department: 03460 GCMG Teen Health Connection Psychiatry: 3541 Randolph - Pediatrics: Psychiatry Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hours Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Weekdays Pay Range: $54.90 - $82.35 Job Summary This is a senior level position that provides behavioral health services to patients in a community mental health setting. The primary responsibilities consist of psychological assessment for diagnostic purposes and direct treatment by individual, family and group psychotherapy. Essential Functions Conduct assessments based on clinical interview, presenting information, and clinical standards of the program. Formulate appropriate diagnoses using standards established in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. Create treatment plans according to patient diagnosis, age, and clinical presentation. Collaborate with appropriate guardians to ensure effective service delivery. Provide clinical supervision of Psychologist I, pre‑doctoral interns, and/or graduate practicum students in the practice of psychology. Select, administer, and interpret psychological instruments, including writing reports on psychological evaluation. Demonstrate knowledge of various treatment modalities and theoretical applications based on current clinical standards. Write appropriate discharge plans based on individual client needs and follow through with termination processes. Manage clients in crisis utilizing appropriate skills and assessment techniques. Physical Requirements Work in a patient care area with potentially combative or self‑destructive patients. Responsibilities include walking, standing, lifting, reaching, and handling charts and supplies while maintaining a safe work environment. Education, Experience and Certifications Doctoral Degree in Clinical Psychology from an APA‑approved training program required. Doctoral degree holder must be licensed (eligible or currently licensed) as a Licensed Practicing Psychologist in North Carolina. BLS required per policy guidelines.
