Job Description Collins Aerospace’s Strategic Solutions team seeks an exceptionally motivated Engineer passionate about collaborating with high‑performance teams to create mission critical solutions supporting Integrated Mission Systems. The Sr. Principal Software Product Owner works in an adaptive environment enabling rapid learning and drives success. The role serves as Product Owner for our GUI domain, shaping the future of defense systems for the armed forces, located onsite in Richardson, TX. What You Will Do Promote a culture of predictable execution intertwined with fun and collaboration where the success of the entire program team is the priority. Act as Product Owner for the GUI team focused on requirements decomposition, Cameo modeling, software development, and troubleshooting within a DevSecOps pipeline in a cloud environment. Work directly with the Chief Engineer, User Experience Engineer, Scrum Masters, and Software Engineers performing software development for Mission Systems applications. Interact with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders on a large program across multiple locations. Mentor interns, junior, senior, and principal engineers. What You Will Learn Gain knowledge in Strategic Nuclear Deterrence domains and niche skills enabling unique expertise. Learn and apply new technologies and techniques, gaining valuable experience leading projects. Develop subject‑matter expertise and leadership skills. Qualifications – Must Have Typical STEM degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree with minimum 7 years of experience OR, in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance; U.S. citizenship required. Previous experience as Product Owner following Agile / Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). Previous experience with user interface development, GUI frameworks, microservice architectures, and software development. Qualifications – Preferred Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance. Experience with Agile SDLC, UML, SysML, MBSE, and CAMEO modeling tools. Experience with Jira.
