Senior Production Scheduler & Procurement Lea

Senior Production Scheduler & Procurement Lead is responsible for integrated planning and material availability across multiple pharmaceutical manufacturing sites. This role ensures alignment between demand forecasts, production schedules, procurement activities, and GMP compliance requirements to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilities 1. Production Scheduling (Multi-Site) Develop and maintain short- and long-term production schedules across multiple facilities Align scheduling with: Manufacturing capacity (e.g., vial filling, lyophilization, packaging lines) Equipment availability and maintenance windows GMP campaign sequencing and changeover requirements Coordinate with Manufacturing, QA, QC, and Engineering to ensure schedule adherence Act as the central point of coordination for schedule changes, deviations, and recovery plans Procurement & Supply Coordination Manage procurement of: Raw materials (APIs, excipients) Packaging materials Ensure on-time delivery of materials aligned with production schedules Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and risks Support qualification of vendors in coordination with QA Inventory & Materials Management Maintain optimal inventory levels across sites: Minimize excess or expired GMP materials Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams for material movement between sites Ensure full traceability and compliance with cGMP and regulatory requirements Cross-Functional Coordination Interface with: Manufacturing Operations Quality Assurance (release status, material approvals) Engineering (downtime, shutdown planning) Support site-to-site load balancing and capacity planning Identify risks related to: Supply chain disruptions Production bottlenecks Regulatory constraints Ensure all procurement and scheduling activities comply with: FDA cGMP requirements EU GMP (Annex 1 considerations where applicable) Maintain audit-ready documentation and data integrity Systems & Reporting Utilize ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) for: Scheduling Procurement tracking Inventory management Generate reports on: Schedule adherence Provide visibility to leadership on risks and capacity Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field 5+ years experience in: Pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing Production scheduling and/or procurement Experience with multi-site operations preferred Strong understanding of cGMP environments Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting: Sterile injectables, peptides, or biologics manufacturing ERP/MRP system experience (SAP strongly preferred) APICS (CPIM/CSCP) certification or equivalent RTD Biosciences is a Disabled and Veteran Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
