CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist

We're looking for a highly skilled CNC Lathe/Mill Machinist to join our team for the first shift. The ideal candidate will have a background in both oil and gas and aerospace manufacturing. In this role, you'll be responsible for setting up and operating a CNC lathe, creating G-code programs of basic complexity, and assisting other operators with setup issues. You must be able to install tooling, configure workholding, and optimize cutting conditions with little to no supervision. We're looking for someone who can meet production goals, maintain high-quality standards (a maximum of two INCRs per quarter), and manage all necessary paperwork. Experience as a combo machinist on both mills and lathes is a significant bonus. If you're a motivated problem-solver with a background in precision machining, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

The following are in addition to the responsibilities assigned for CNC Lathe Intermediate:

- Create G-code programs of basic complexity at the workcenter without assistance

- Assist other operators with resolution of setup issues

CNC Lathe Intermediate responsibilities:

- Setup workcenter and produce the first piece with little to no supervision:

- Install required tooling based on part program and provided information

- Configure jaws/fixtures for proper workholding including setting correct offsets

- Evaluate cutting conditions and optimize feeds/speeds

- Follow routed instructions to produce parts per requirements using CNC lathe

- Complete required paperwork: router/inspection sheets, maintenance requests, etc.

- Identify dull/broken tools and replace/offset to resume production without supervision

- Strive to produce at 100% of routed rate or better

- Quality expectation: 2 INCRs per quarter maximum
