Director of Digital, Print and Social Engagement

The Parish of the Holy Eucharist, a vibrant Roman Catholic parish serving Falmouth and the surrounding communities of southern Maine, is seeking a full-time Director of Digital, Print and Social Engagement to lead and strengthen parish communications. This position offers a unique opportunity to use professional communication skills in support of evangelization, discipleship, and parish engagement. Reporting directly to the Pastor, the Director will develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy that supports the mission of the parish and helps connect parishioners and the wider community with the life of the Church. The successful candidate will oversee the parish's digital and print communications, including the website, social media platforms, email communications, bulletin content, digital storytelling, photography, video, and other outreach efforts. The ideal candidate is a creative and organized communicator who can tell the story of parish life in compelling ways while ensuring that information is accurate, timely, attractive, and consistent across all platforms. This individual will work closely with clergy, staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, and diocesan partners to promote parish events, ministries, liturgies, and outreach opportunities. The position also includes responsibility for maintaining parish branding, monitoring engagement analytics, coordinating communication volunteers, and identifying new opportunities to strengthen the parish's digital presence. Candidates should be practicing Roman Catholics who enthusiastically support the mission and teachings of the Church and possess strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field is preferred, along with at least three years of experience in communications, media, marketing, or a similar field. Experience with social media management, website content management systems, email marketing, graphic design platforms such as Canva or Affinity Publisher, photography, videography, and digital storytelling is highly desirable. This is a full-time, salaried position. Some evening and weekend availability is required to support parish events and activities.
