Sterile Processing TechnicianSouth Denver Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. Our fast paced ASC is committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.Qualifications:High School diploma or GED requiredComputer skills, requiredCRCST or CSPDT certification preferredSix months of experience, preferred2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.Experience with all types of sterilizers.Knows operating room instrumentation.Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.Understands Sterrad sterilizers.Ability to prepare reports and keep records.Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is requiredAbility to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when neededMust be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physiciansEducation, Training and Experience Requirements:Current Colorado LicenseCurrent CPR, ACLS, and PALSGraduate of an accredited school of nursingMinimum 2 year experience in a hospital settingAbility to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, hospital staff, physicians, vendors and the public.Excellent communication and organizational skills.Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.Excellent communication skillsAbility to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patientUnderstands principles of aseptic technique and their implementationAbility to care for patients from infancy to geriatricsExcellent teaching skillsBasic knowledge of Performance Improvement ideologyExperience working in an ASC is a plus.Benefits:Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurancePaid time off (vacation & sick leave)401k retirement planPaid holidaysHealth savings accounts, healthcare & dependent flexible spending accountsEmployee Assistance Program, Employee discount programVoluntary benefits include pet insurance, legal insurance, accident andCritical illness insurance, long-term care, elder & childcare, AD&D, auto & home insurance.Salary Range - $19.60- $24.01
