Senior Accountant - Nonprofit Healthcare | Hybrid Role

We are seeking anexperienced Senior Accountant to support accounting operations in Dallas, TX. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, you willplay a key role in the month‑end close process, financial reporting, accountreconciliations, audit preparation, nonprofit and grant accounting, regulatorycompliance, internal controls, process improvements, and financial systemenhancements while partnering with departments across the organization. Schedule: Full-Time | Remote & Office Based work | Hybrid Role What You’ll Do Managemonthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including journalentries, accruals, and supporting schedules Prepareand analyze monthly financial statements and investigate and resolvefinancial variances Ensurethe accuracy of balance sheet and income statement accounts through timelyreconciliations, discrepancy resolution, and reconciliation of subledgersto the general ledger Prepareaudit schedules and supporting documentation, work with external auditorsduring annual audits, and assist with implementing audit recommendations Performaccount reconciliations, ensure proper coding, and support period-endclose Ensurecompliance with nonprofit accounting standards, donor restrictions,internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures Analyzefinancial activity, identify trends, errors, and unusual transactions,research GAAP guidance, and recommend accounting solutions to management SupportForm 990, Medicare/Medicaid cost reports, and regulatory filings Monitoradherence and elevate exceptions as needed Identifyand implement improvements to accounting processes, controls, andworkflows Documentand maintain accounting procedures and process documentation Maintainproficiency with the organization's ERP, Microsoft Business Central, andother financial systems Supportreporting and budgeting tools, participate in system enhancements,testing, and implementations, and collaborate with departments to resolveaccounting and coding issues Provideguidance on accounting processes, the chart of accounts, and expenseallocations Providebackup support for accounts payable and other accounting functions asneeded Upholdand promote the agency's mission, values, and policies Performother duties as assigned What We Are Looking For Education & Experience Bachelor'sdegree in Accounting preferred, CPA or CPA candidate is a plus 3–5years of progressive accounting experience Nonprofitor healthcare accounting experience preferred Experiencewith month-end close, account reconciliations, audit preparation, andfinancial reporting Experiencewith ERP systems; Microsoft Business Central preferred Skills & Qualifications Strongknowledge of GAAP, nonprofit accounting standards, and donor restrictions Stronganalytical, problem-solving, and technical accounting skills Excellentwritten and verbal communication skills in English Attentionto detail & Strong organizational and time management skills Abilityto work independently and meet deadlines, including extended hours duringmonth-end close or audits Abilityto work in a hybrid office/remote environment with prolonged computer andphone use Reliabletransportation required What You Can Expect Competitive salary and mileage reimbursement Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and short term/long term insurance Generous paid time off, 6 paid holidays, flexible days Education Reimbursement Assistance Program Schedule Flexibility & Professional development opportunities Supportive, collaborative team environment Meaningful work that makes a difference every day If you're an experienced accounting professional whoenjoys improving processes, ensuring financial accuracy, and making an impactwithin a mission-driven organization, we'd love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr The Staff Pad
