Boston, MAOnsiteFull Time$220k - $250kJob Description A start up in Boston is hiring a Staff Backend Engineer to help lead the development and architecture of their core backend systems. In this role, you’ll work with product leadership and engineering teams to shape scalable API platforms, build new product features, and create data models that support rapid platform growth. You'll be working on multi-tenant SaaS products, complex data models, and modern APIs. You will thrive in a collaborative environment, take full ownership of impactful projects, and contribute meaningfully to both team mentorship and the technical vision of the company. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience with backend frameworks (Node/TypeScript), relational databases, and API design Technical leadership in large-scale projects Experience with multi-tenant SaaS and product-driven systems Strong communication skills Desired Skills & Experience Cloud infrastructure experience Mentorship ability 8+ years of professional development What You Will Be Doing Hands-on backend development Leading architecture and API scaling Collaborating with product and engineering teams Improving core system performance and reliability The Offer Competitive compensation and bonus Medical, dental, vision benefits PTO 401(k) with company match Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
