RVP/External Wholesaler- Virginia (Remote)

Athene USA, one of the fastest growing providers of fixed annuities, is hiring a Regional Vice President to focus on maintaining and building Athene’s presence in the Direct/Independent Broker Dealer Channel. The RVP must be currently located within the territory Richmond, VA or Washington, DC. Candidates residing in other locations will not be considered. Accountabilities Work closely with VP/Division Sales Manager to develop a business plan to maximize sales and meet business growth objectives. Collaborate with internal wholesalers to identify producer needs and develop an extensive and productive travel schedule with rotations within the assigned territory, building a results-oriented strategy for implementation. Build and maintain producer relationships, keeping them informed of market and product changes and enhancements. Conduct product and sales training through individual and group sessions, seminars, workshops, and branch meetings. Work externally with Direct IBDs to increase the sale of fixed indexed annuities. Identify and develop new advisors while strengthening relationships with existing advisors. Increase sales through field activity and in‑person meetings, providing sales ideas and client solutions. Strategically plan and manage deployment of resources for the territory through marketing and sales initiatives, budgeting, and expense responsibilities. Qualifications and Experience 10 years’ prior wholesaling experience. Knowledge of the Fixed Indexed and Registered‑Indexed Linked Annuity marketplace. Life & Health License and FINRA Series 6 or Series 7. Proven ability to grow a region as measured by sales results. Proven sales acumen and presentation skills. 75% travel required. Ability to adapt to constant changing environments. Excellent knowledge of the advisor community and industry. Compensation $62,412.80 – $93,619.20 USD annual salary. The salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
