Senior Technical Advisor - Unconventional Computing & Emerging Information Systems

Overview Everforth ECS is seeking a Mid/Senior Technical Advisor to support a DARPA Program Manager in Arlington, VA. This position is contingent upon additional funding. The successful candidate will serve as a trusted technical advisor supporting the evaluation, development, and transition of advanced research programs. This individual will work closely with government stakeholders, research performers, operational users, and transition partners to assess technical approaches, identify emerging opportunities, and shape future research directions. Responsibilities Provide technical advisory support for evaluation, development, and transition of advanced research programs. Collaborate with government stakeholders, research performers, operational users, and transition partners to assess technical approaches and identify opportunities. Help shape future research directions and inform program strategy in information processing, unconventional computing architectures, AI, and next-generation computational systems. Qualifications Master\'s in Physics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Computational Science, or related discipline 10+ years of experience supporting advanced technology development, scientific research, or R&D programs Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain clearance Technical expertise in one or more of the following: Unconventional computing, Analog or hybrid computing, Neuromorphic systems, Artificial intelligence, Advanced algorithms and optimization, Quantum information science, Novel information processing architectures, Emerging computational paradigms Experience evaluating technical performers, research proposals, or scientific programs Experience working across multidisciplinary technical environments Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Desired Skills DARPA, IARPA, DoD, IC, FFRDC, national laboratory, or Service laboratory experience Experience supporting technology transition efforts Familiarity with synthetic biology, bio-inspired systems, or emerging computational approaches Experience supporting program formation, strategic technology planning, or portfolio assessments Active Top Secret clearance preferred Equal Opportunity Everforth ECS is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate or allow discrimination on the basis of any characteristic protected by law.
