SharePoint Online Engineer

Description We are seeking a SharePoint Consultant to assess our current SharePoint environment and help develop a scalable, governed approach to document management and collaboration. This individual will provide recommendations on SharePoint governance, information architecture, file consolidation, permissions, and best practices to support long-term business needs. Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the current SharePoint environment, file storage structure, and business processes.
• Develop recommendations for SharePoint governance, standards, and best practices.
• Assess opportunities to consolidate and organize content across sites, libraries, and teams.
• Design scalable information architecture, metadata, and document management strategies.
• Review security and permissions models to ensure appropriate access and compliance.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand collaboration and document storage requirements.
• Create roadmaps and recommendations for future-state SharePoint adoption and administration.
• Provide knowledge transfer and best-practice guidance to internal teams.

• Experience implementing and supporting SharePoint Online environments.
• Strong understanding of SharePoint governance, content management, and information architecture.
• Experience with file migrations, content consolidation, and document management initiatives.
• Ability to gather requirements and translate business needs into SharePoint solutions.
• Experience working with Microsoft 365 collaboration tools including Teams and OneDrive preferred.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
