Nuclear Medicine Technologist - Full Time Days

Pay: $37.11/hour - $51.87/hour

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist provides high-quality nuclear medicine imaging and supports diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in collaboration with Radiologists and interdisciplinary care teams. This role is responsible for image acquisition, processing, and transmission to PACS while ensuring compliance with patient safety, radiation safety, and quality standards. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist plays a key role in supporting accurate diagnoses, effective treatment planning, and efficient imaging operations.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to physician orders and established protocols.

• Prepare and position patients for imaging examinations while ensuring comfort and safety.

• Assist Radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures.

• Acquire, process, review, and transmit images through PACS for interpretation.

• Maintain compliance with radiation safety, regulatory, and quality assurance standards.

• Operate and maintain nuclear medicine and related imaging equipment.

• Document patient information and procedure details accurately within electronic systems.

• Collaborate with physicians, Radiologists, and multidisciplinary care teams to support optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current State Nuclear Medicine License issued by CDPH, A.R.R.T. or N.M.T.C.B. Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology required.

2. Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program.3. Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).4. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.5. Proficiency with PACS, computer systems, and healthcare technology.

Preferred

1. One or more years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.2. Acute care or clinical radiology experience.3. Experience with mobile and stationary radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
