Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of critical care experience required License: Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, RRT by the National Board for Respiratory Care Must-Have: Critical care experience to work in a high-volume ER and Level 1 Trauma Center Description: Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for adult patients in a high-volume emergency room. Experience in neurotrauma, cardiovascular services, and medical/surgical ICU patients is essential. Skilled in aerosol and medication delivery systems including mask, trach, and MDI. Proficient in administering various medications such as Albuterol, Atrovent, and inhaled steroids. Competent in arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and ventilator management including BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula. Experienced in airway management techniques including extubation and tracheostomy care. Proficient in oxygen therapy and nebulizer setups. Must be able to troubleshoot high-pressure alarms and wean patients from mechanical ventilation. Experience with Epic electronic health record system is required. The position may include floating within skill set as per staffing needs. Registered Respiratory Therapists will serve adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients.
