Locums OB/GYN Hospitalist Springfield, OH (any state license accepted for ongoing dates; OH license required for June/July)Why This RoleDefined weekend coverage with ongoing need (2-3 weekends/month)24-hour in-house laborist coverageLight c-section rate ( 1%)Established team of 4 physicians plus APP supportOpen to any state license for ongoing dates (OH obtained during credentialing); OH license required for June/July startEmergency temp privileges availableAssignment DetailsCoverage dates: - Possible June coverage ( 2 weeks prior to July 17 start) - July 17-19 - 2-3 weekends per month ongoingSchedule: Friday 7a - Monday 7a (24-hour in-house laborist)Coverage need: 2 providers, at least once per month eachCall: 1:4 ratioSetting: 90% labor and delivery, 10% GYN; hospital call onlyCapacity: 34 L&D/postpartum/triage beds; 205 total hospital bedsPatient mix: 60% low-risk, 40% high-risk; 1% c-section rateGYN surgery volume: 5/dayNursery: Level II ( 4 admissions/day)Support: 1 APP per 12-hour shift, L&D nurses, midwives (midwife not guaranteed onsite for full 24 hours)Onsite lab and ultrasoundEMR: EpicCredentialing: 30-90 days (emergency temp privileges available)Clinical DetailsFull-scope OB/GYN hospitalistRequired OB: low- and high-risk pregnancy management, FHR interpretation, OB ultrasound (Level I)Required L&D: vaginal delivery, low forceps, c-section decision-making, complicated delivery (c-section, breech, multiples, abruptions), VBAC, 3rd/4th degree laceration repairRequired GYN: open surgical, laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (tubal ligation, LOAs, chromal tubation), operative/major (ectopic, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOAs)RequirementsBoard Certified OB/GYNLicense: open to any state for ongoing dates (OH obtained during credentialing); active OH license required for June/July start datesBLS, ACLSActive DEAClean malpractice historySelf-query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentationCompensationRate negotiable, open to your numberMalpractice providedTravel and lodging reimbursed
