Procurement Specialist

Title : Procurement & Inventory Control Specialist Position Location : Alexandira, VA – 5x a week onsite. 8-5PM EST. Parking and metro accessible Contract/Perm: Direct Hire Period of Performance: funded through 2028 Onboarding: 2-3 weeks Clearance: Public Trust Rate: $75K-$85K Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement & Inventory Control Specialist to support IT asset procurement, inventory management, and lifecycle operations. This role requires strong experience with ServiceNow, inventory controls, reporting, and asset tracking to ensure accurate asset data, operational efficiency, and audit readiness. Manage IT hardware procurement activities from request through receipt, deployment, and disposition. Track inventory, asset movements, purchase orders, and lifecycle activities within ServiceNow. Maintain accurate asset records, inventory levels, warranties, and stockroom/bench stock inventories. Perform inventory audits, reconciliations, and quality control reviews to ensure data accuracy. Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and metrics related to inventory, asset utilization, warranties, deployments, and procurement activities. Analyze inventory and asset data to identify trends, discrepancies, and process improvement opportunities. Develop and maintain SOPs and support continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with service desk, procurement, and IT operations teams to support hardware and software asset management activities. Provide Tier I/II support for hardware, software, business applications, and account management as needed. Requirements Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 9+ years of relevant experience. Experience in procurement, inventory control, supply chain, IT asset management, or related fields. 2-3+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience. Strong experience creating reports, dashboards, and performance metrics. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Experience working with CMDB and IT Asset Management processes. Experience supporting enterprise-scale IT environments.
