The Crandall Police Department is a department of 28 full-time sworn police officers. Crandall is located on U.S. 175, approximately 27 miles East of Dallas, in Kaufman County. The Crandall Police Department provides police services to a population of approximately 15,000 residents within the City Limits and ETJ of Crandall using a community-oriented policing philosophy.

Qualifications:

The physical agility test, polygraph exam, and psychological exam will be waived for applicants who are currently employed as a full-time police officer.

Required to pass a written test
Pass a physical agility test
Pass a background check
Pass a polygraph exam
Pass a psychological and medical review
Municipal Police experience (Preferred)

Requirements:

High School Diploma / GED Equivalent (minimum)
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Clean driving record
No convictions
Valid Texas Driver's License
TCOLE Certification (Preferred)

Benefits:

Starting Pay $59,366.36 with 12-year step top out at $83,366.36

Lateral up to $69,366.36
2:1 TMRS Retirement at 8%
