Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours, 3rd shift (12-hour shifts) Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) from approved vendor - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have: - Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred - Acute care facility experience preferred Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward attaining outcomes. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers to provide patient care in a safe and caring environment. Provides learning opportunities for patients and family members. Directly provides health information to patients, families, and treatment teams. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Commits to the safety and wellbeing of associates and patients.
