Base Pay $18.00 - $20.00 / Hour Employee Type Non Exempt FT Required Degree High school Contact information Phone View phone number on click.appcast.io Career Details: We are seeking a passionate Youth Prevention Specialist with experience working with children to join our team of professionals in the Columbus area. As an Alvis Youth Prevention Specialist, you will provide a range of prevention programming and activities that promote social and emotional health and well-being. This includes alcohol, tobacco, and drug intervention initiatives to youth in a team environment while ensuring the use of trauma-responsive care strategies for all clients. This position will embody the Family & Children’s Team mission to support youth success in school and in life. Working collaboratively with team members, the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead students in accomplishing established program objectives. Programming activities for school-age youth may include but are not limited to the following: sports and fitness, cooking and nutrition, outdoor education, music, dance, photography, visual arts, theatre and drama, and STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics). Requirements Education : Highschool diploma or GED Experience : 6 months experience working with children in an educational setting and/or recreational setting MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE Certification: Must complete and maintain Ohio Certified Prevention Specialist Assistant certification within 18 months of employment provided by the employer Skills and Abilities: Computer Skills :Proficient in all Microsoft office applications and skilled in operation of personal computer, peripheral equipment (e.g., copier, fax, printers).
