About the Position PRN Occupational Therapist position at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital. This role involves evaluating and treating patients using current principles and practices of occupational therapy. Duties are performed in compliance with applicable laws, MedStar Georgetown's policies and standards. Primary Duties Provide direct OT evaluations and re-evaluations, including assessment of prior and current level of functioning, setting appropriate goals, and making discharge recommendations in accordance with standards of practice. Provide direct OT treatments according to standards of practice, including patient and family education, progression of treatment plan, and implementation of appropriate therapeutic interventions. Utilize appropriate documentation forms and comply with PM&R’s documentation standards. Collaborate with physicians, patients, families, and other members of the health care team regarding patient treatment, progress, and effective discharge planning. Coordinate and prioritize own schedule in relation to demands of patient treatment and other departmental responsibilities. Demonstrate proper use and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Maintain CEUs per state requirements for continued professional competency. Adhere to Department of Health and Joint Commission regulations regarding the physical environment and patient care. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy. 1‑2 years of related clinical practice experience in an acute care or rehabilitation facility. Registered Occupational Therapist license in the District of Columbia or qualified candidate for D.C. BLS (Basic Life Support). Compensation USD $60.00 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr MedStar Health
