Pay Range: $199,000.00 - $268,000.00 Job Summary InPower Solutions (a division of All Current Electric) is seeking a proven General Manager to lead our Houston operations and establish InPower as the premier provider of switchgear and motor control solutions. Reporting directly to CEO, the GMwill focus on providing innovative switchgear, motor controls, and power distribution systems that drive operational excellence for our clients. This is a rare opportunity to build and lead a business unit from the ground up while leveraging your deep industry expertise and established relationships. The successful candidate will be a seasoned professional with extensive experience in the switchgear and motor controls industry, combining technical acumen with exceptional business leadership skills to drive growth, build strategic partnerships, and deliver unparalleled customer value. Job Responsibilities Business Development & Growth Develop and execute comprehensive business strategy Build and maintain relationships with key industrial clients, contractors, and OEMs Identify and pursue new market opportunities across all appropriate business sectors. Establish InPower Solutions as the go-to partner for electrical control & switchgear projects Talent Management & Development Develop comprehensive workforce planning strategies to support business growth and market expansion Create and implement talent development programs, career progression paths, and succession planning Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and professional growth Partner with HR to ensure compliance with employment regulations and company policies Operations Management Build and lead a high-performing team of sales, engineering, and support professionals Establish operational processes, quality systems, and performance metrics Manage the InPower P&L Develop vendor relationships and supply chain partnerships Safety & Compliance Leadership Establish and maintain comprehensive safety management systems and protocols for all operations Ensure strict adherence to OSHA regulations, NEC codes, and industry safety standards Foster a zero-incident safety culture and continuous improvement mindset throughout the organization Job Requirements Bachelor’s degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or related technical field Minimum 10+ years in switchgear and motor controls industry 5+ years in leadership or business development roles Proven track record of building and growing electrical controls businesses Deep understanding of industrial electrical systems, power distribution, and control technologies Comprehensive knowledge of switchgear design, manufacturing, and application Understanding of industry standards (IEEE, NEMA, NEC, etc.) Demonstrated success in P&L management and business growth Strong team building and leadership capabilities Excellent project management and client relationship skills Strategic thinking with ability to execute tactical plans All Current is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local fair employment practices laws.
