We're seeking a Materials Planning & Procurement Specialist who can balance inventory, supplier performance, cost, and production requirements to ensure a reliable flow of materials across the organization. If you're analytical, proactive, and experienced in manufacturing supply chains, you'll play a key role in improving inventory performance, supporting production schedules, and driving continuous improvement.This role is ideal for an experienced supply chain professional who enjoys analyzing data, solving problems, collaborating across departments, and making decisions that directly impact production performance and business results.What You'll DoYou'll be responsible for ensuring materials are available to support production while optimizing inventory levels and supplier performance. In this role, you will:Analyze demand, inventory, and MRP data to determine purchasing priorities and supply actions.Manage supplier relationships, monitor performance, and address delivery or capacity challenges.Balance inventory investment, material availability, lead times, and operating costs.Partner with Operations and Engineering to support new products, engineering changes, and continuous improvement initiatives.What Success Looks LikeYour work will help the company achieve:Reliable material availability and fewer shortagesImproved supplier performance and delivery reliabilityReduced excess and obsolete inventoryStable production schedules that support on-time customer deliveryWhat You'll BringWe're looking for someone with strong planning, procurement, and analytical skills who can make sound business decisions in a manufacturing environment.Qualifications:5+ years of materials planning, procurement, supply chain, or inventory management experience in manufacturingExperience using ERP/MRP systems (Sage preferred)Advanced Excel and data analysis skillsKnowledge of inventory planning concepts, including lead times, safety stock, Kanban, and replenishment methodsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or a related field preferredEnglish/Spanish bilingual a plusWhy Newberry Tanks?This is more than a traditional purchasing role.
