Position Summary
The Shipping & Receiving (S&R) Agent is responsible for executing day‑to‑day warehouse activities related to the receipt, movement, storage, and shipment of raw materials and finished goods. This role performs hands‑on material handling and transactional work to ensure accurate, timely, and safe inbound and outbound operations. The S&R Agent supports warehouse efficiency, inventory integrity, and production flow by following established procedures and working closely with S&R Leads, Material Coordinators, and the Warehouse Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Receive, unload, verify, and store incoming raw materials, components, and supplies.
- 2. Pick, stage, load, and ship outbound materials and finished goods according to shipping schedules and instructions.
- 3. Verify quantities, part numbers, and condition of materials against packing slips and shipping documentation.
- 4. Complete required shipping and receiving transactions accurately within the ERP/WMS system.
- 5. Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for damage and report issues promptly.
- 6. Move materials safely using forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.
- 7. Store materials in designated locations following labeling and storage standards.
- 8. Maintain organization, cleanliness, and proper housekeeping of warehouse, dock, and yard areas.
- 9. Support material staging and kitting activities as directed.
- 10. Assist with cycle counts, location verification, and year‑end inventory activities as assigned.
- 11. Identify and report inventory discrepancies, shortages, or errors to the S&R Lead or Material Specialist.
- 12. Ensure all inventory movements are properly documented and traceable.
- 13. Follow all safety requirements, standard work, and quality procedures.
- 14. Maintain a positive, professional, and team‑oriented work environment.
- 15. Support company Strategic, Quality, and Safety objectives.
- 16. Other duties may be assigned.
Functional & Cognitive Requirements
- This position requires walking, sitting or standing to a significant degree.
- Must have the ability to lift 70 pounds from floor to waist, carry 50 pounds, and push and/or pull up to 100 pounds.
- Must have the ability to climb ladders and/or stairs.
- Stooping, crouching, kneeling and bending.
- Handling, feeling, and gripping would be required for some activities.
- Visual acuity is required to inspect work completed.
- This role may be subject to internal and external environmental conditions.
- Learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, make timely decisions in the context of a workflow, ability to communicate with visitors, ability to complete tasks in situations that have a speed or productivity quota.

Education
High School or GED or better in High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
