Job Title: Production Associate / Composite Technician Job Description This role supports the production of composite components used in space vehicle projects. You will work on a growing team, carefully following instructions, assembling parts, and using hand and power tools to build high-quality products. The position requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to working safely and accurately on every task. Responsibilities Assemble composite components for space vehicle projects according to detailed work instructions and specifications. Use shop hand tools and power tools safely and correctly while following all personal protective equipment (PPE) standards. Measure materials accurately using a tape measure to ensure precise cuts, fits, and alignments. Follow step-by-step production procedures with high attention to detail to maintain consistent quality. Inspect parts and assemblies during and after production to identify and report any defects or inconsistencies. Support general production activities such as material handling, basic preparation, and workstation organization. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work area in accordance with shop and safety guidelines. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production schedules and adapt to new projects and customer requirements. Essential Skills Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand how parts fit and work together. Experience using basic hand tools in a shop, construction, or assembly environment. Ability to safely operate common power tools while following PPE and safety procedures. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely. Comfort working in a production or shop environment with hands-on tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in mechanical, construction, or assembly work. Background or interest in working with composite materials or manufacturing for technical products. Willingness to learn new processes and adapt to a variety of custom and project-based work. Work Environment This position is based in a shop and production environment focused on composite manufacturing for space vehicle projects. You will regularly work with hand tools and power tools and are expected to follow all PPE and safety standards. The work involves standing, moving around the shop, and performing hands‑on assembly and measurement tasks throughout your shift. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Holland, MI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
