Surgical Technician - PRN

PRN Surgical TechnicianWe are now hiring a PRN Surgical Technician to assist Physician(s) and the Nurse Manager by preparing, maintaining and anticipating instrument and procedural needs for all surgical procedures in accordance to regulatory standards.The primary location for this position is our Kenwood ASC; however, travel to our Eastgate ASC may be occasionally required to meet staffing demands.PRN status: This position serves as a supplemental team member and provides coverage as needed. PRN employees are scheduled based on organizational needs and staffing requirements, with no guaranteed minimum number of hours.Responsibilities:Obtaining supplies from other areas as neededReturning supplies and equipment to the appropriate locationAssisting in keeping the Central Sterile area neat and orderlyEffecting handling health or safety hazards for self and patientsReporting any unusual occurrences or incidents accurately to the Clinical DirectorPerforming other duties as requiredQualifications:0-3 years of experienceMaintains current BCLS certification and completion of required annual in-servicesAbility to work in a surgery center environment with healthcare interactions that include patient contact, hazardous chemicals, and infectious disease under a moderate level of noiseMust be able to understand and follow instruction with speed and accuracyMust be able to organize and set priority for work to be donePossesses manual dexterity, mobility, visual acuity, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, attendance, and good interpersonal skillsCompany Benefits:EyeSouth Partners is an equal opportunity employer.
